Why I admire Japan’s Post-Earthquake Behavior.

Alright,

Have you ever seen/read/heard news about a disaster happened somewhere? Sure, and then what happened next? Chaos, looting, increase crime rate, bla bla etc.

Well, Japan has recently been struck by an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and the thing that impresses me the most is how cool Japanese people really are. When I say “Japanese people”, what’s the first thing that comes through your mind? Hard-working, good ethics, hygienic, low crime rate, and err, Maria Ozawa.

Now take a good look at these pictures;

In front of the public phone, people are actually lining up to use it.

Japanese people sitting on the sides of the stairs, ensuring that the center remains clear and accessible.

Transportation is paralyzed; people are walking home calmly.

A stopped subway station, without an uproar, without a mess.

This is the result of Education and first class mentality, not something that can be obtained through GDP alone.
